Ignacio founded ALGO Law Firm to provide a different kind of legal counsel: strategic, discreet, and built on relationships rather than transactions. As Managing Partner, he leads the firm's vision and growth while maintaining an active practice in crisis management, white-collar investigations, complex civil litigation, and corporate governance and compliance.
Before founding ALGO, Ignacio served with the Miami-Dade Police Department for 25 years, retiring as Major of the Special Victims Unit. During his law enforcement career, he led major investigative divisions, managed hundreds of sworn officers and civilian personnel, and conducted international training programs for senior law enforcement officials. He earned his law degree from Nova Southeastern University while serving as a police officer, driven by a commitment to serve from both sides of the legal system.
With over 19 years as a practicing attorney, Ignacio built ALGO around the principle that the best legal outcomes require not just expertise, but an understanding of how investigations unfold, how agencies operate, and how to protect clients when stakes are highest. His dual background enables him to anticipate investigative approaches and navigate complex interactions with government agencies in ways most attorneys cannot.
Under his leadership, ALGO has grown into a trusted advisor for corporations, high-profile individuals, and governmental entities facing their most sensitive and complex legal challenges. The firm's approach reflects Ignacio's belief that legal counsel should be accessible, responsive, and focused on long-term outcomes, not just immediate resolutions.
Ignacio serves as pro bono counsel for the Caldwell Institute for Public Safety, supporting the organization's mission to advance law enforcement training and community safety initiatives.
He earned his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law and his Master of Science from Florida International University. He is admitted to practice in Florida, New York, and the District of Columbia.
