Jose leads the firm’s Colombia practice, where he advises multinational companies and investors on international expansion, cross-border transactions, corporate matters, immigration, intellectual property, and technology law.

Jose has extensive experience guiding startup companies through all stages of growth, from entity formation and corporate structuring to financing transactions with angel investors, venture capitalists, and financial institutions. He prepares corporate and commercial documentation, facilitates cross-border transactions, and provides strategic counsel on domestic and international business operations.

Jose is fluent in Spanish and English. He earned his LL.M. in Intellectual Property & Technology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his LL.M. in Business Law, with a focus on Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law, from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia.
